Alyssum Carpet of Snow
Alyssum Carpet of Snow, with its honey-scented flowers all summer, has long been the number one favourite for edging the flower border. This variety forms a flat mass of white-flowered blossom. A very lovely annual that is low growing to around 12cm high. Excellent for rockeries, borders of gardens, pots or just the corner of a veggie bed.
Likes well drained soils and full to part sun. Cut back after the first flowers to encourage a strong second flush.
Sow: September to January (cool climate), all year in warmer climates. Sow thickly and thin to a few plants.
Spacing: 20cm.
