Cabbage Red Express
Cabbage Red Express produces small up to 1kg red cabbage heads. A compact plant so you can get more in. Some plants may not produce as expected. Great in stir-fries, coleslaw. Approx. 60 days to maturity from transplant of seedling.
Sow – November to early March. (cool climate – earlier in Hobart)
Spacing – 30cm. rows 40cm
Cabbage was most likely domesticated somewhere in Europe before 1000 BC, although savoys were not developed until the 16th century AD. By the Middle Ages, cabbage had become a prominent part of European cuisine.
Germination: Optimal Soil temperature is 19 to 24 C (around 5-10 days to germination)
