Cabbage Red Ball F1

Cabbage Red Ball F1 is suited to cooler climates producing 500g to 1kg small tight red heads of excellent quality. Very sweet tasting and adds contrast to any dish. I have bee delighted by the performance of this variety.

Around 3 to 4 months to maturity but holds well in the field during June and July which means you are not in a rush to harvest.

Sow December to February.

Spacing 45cm. rows 60cm

Cabbage was most likely domesticated somewhere in Europe before 1000 BC, although savoys were not developed until the 16th century AD. By the Middle Ages, cabbage had become a prominent part of European cuisine.

Germination: Optimal Soil temperature is 19 to 24 C (around 5-10 days to germination)
