Calendula Touch of Red Mix
Calendula Touch of Red Mixes colour comes from the deep mahogany-red back of each petal. This adds a reddish overtone to the normal calendula colours of yellow, orange, and cream, creating a stunning effect. Plants are 50 to 60cm in height with 5 cm blooms becoming slightly smaller as its bloom period wears on. Several plants will provide hundreds of cut flowers.

In historic times Calendula was more often used for magical purposes than medicinal ones. One 16th-century potion containing Calendula claimed to reveal fairies. An unmarried woman with two suitors would take a blend of powdered Calendula, marjoram, wormwood and thyme simmered in honey and white wine used as an ointment in a ritual to reveal her true match.
