Eggplant Thai Round Green

Eggplant Thai Round Green is a popular south-east Asian variety used widely in Thai and Vietnamese cooking. Produces round light green white variegated striped fruit about 5cm in diameter which may be eaten raw but is more often added to many stir fry and other south east Asian dishes.

Plants grow to around 50cm tall and can be prolific if given adequate warmth in cool climates.

Sow Start on a heat mat or indoors in August, plant out after risk of frost and soils warmed (early to mid-November) (cool climate).

Can start earlier if planting in a hot house. Lay black plastic on ground and plant into an X cut-out if planting outside. They need max warmth in Tasmania.

Spacing 60cm.
