Kale Bear Necessities
Kale Bear Necessities has very fancy, gourmet looking, frilly and finely cut leaves. It has a mild, sweet flavour (especially after frosts or chilling in the freezer) and a tender texture, it’s perfect for fresh Kale salads. Its structure is less attractive to those eating insects, and it’s quite productive and very cold-tolerant. The leaves vary from medium green to lilac-purple. Looks beautiful in the garden also.
Sow – November to March (cool climate).
Spacing – 40cm between plants, 50cm rows.
Germination: Optimal Soil temperature is 20 to 24 C (around 5-10 days to germination)
