Radish Black Spanish
Radish Black Spanish is also known as Noir Gros Rond D’hiver. It is a versatile radish heirloom grown since the 1800’s. Late summer is the perfect time to sow seeds for a cool autumn and winter harvest.
The radish are black on the outside, and milk-white on the inside with a crispy and sharp, almost spicy flavour. Historically these radishes were grown for their very long shelf life.
Sow – mid-August to March, though best outside the hottest months (cool climate).
Spacing – 5 to 10cm. rows 30cm
