Squash Cucuzza

Squash Cucuzza – Cucuzza means “very long” which is just how this squash (sometimes known as Gourd) fruits grow. Similiar to Tromboncini. A summer squash variety that grows outrageously quick once the weather warms so you’ll need a trellis to support it. Pick the fruit when they’re about 20cm long. They are edible when bigger however.

Sow Germinates when soil temp >20C. Sow direct when a week of sunny weather is forecast from Nov on. To help lay black plastic down, cut an X and plant into that.

Spacing 1 metre (provide lots of water)
